Privacy Policy
by SEEMA collects almost nothing about you. This page sets out exactly what the site stores, why, and where the little that ever leaves your device goes.

Who this policy covers
This policy covers byseema.in, the online catalogue for by SEEMA · Luxury Atelier. Seema Soni, trading as by SEEMA Luxury Atelier (sole proprietorship) The atelier is based at C-86/87, MIG Ram Ganga Vihar Phase 2, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh 244001, India.
What this site does not do
There is no account to create and no form to fill in. There is also no checkout. The only things this site can do are let you look, build a Selection, and open a WhatsApp message to Seema if you choose to. That is the entire list. One page, Visit, embeds a Google map showing where the atelier is, and that is covered below.
Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit them. It sets no cookies, assigns no ID to your device, and cannot be used to identify you or follow you across other websites: it is built to answer questions like “which pieces get looked at,” never “who looked at them.” This one always runs; there is nothing to consent to.
If you accept the cookie banner that greets a first-time visitor, this site also uses Google Analytics for a fuller picture of the same thing: which pieces get looked at, and roughly how visitors find the site. Accepting sets a cookie, described in the Cookie Policy; declining, or not answering, means it never loads at all. Google processes this under its own privacy policy, not by SEEMA’s, and by SEEMA only ever sees the aggregated reports Google Analytics produces, never anything that identifies you individually. This is the one piece of processing on this site that runs on your consent as the legal basis, which is why it is the one thing you are asked about directly and can change your mind on at any time, from Cookie Preferences in the footer.
Neither tool is sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Your Selection
The one thing this website stores is your Selection: the shortlist of pieces you have tapped “Add to Selection” for. It is kept in your browser’s local storage under the key byseema:selection:v1, and holds only the slugs of the pieces themselves (short codes like sage-chikankari-set), nothing about you personally. It never leaves your browser: no server sees it, and no one at the atelier can see what is in it unless you choose to send it to Seema by tapping Enquire or Reserve. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it completely.
Enquiring or reserving on WhatsApp
Choosing Enquire or Reserve, or Book a viewing, opens WhatsApp with a message already written out for you (which piece, and its price), for you to review and send if you want to. From the moment you send it, you are inside WhatsApp, a service owned by Meta, and its own privacy policy governs that conversation, not this one. Seema reads and replies to what you send personally. Nothing about that exchange is copied back into this website or stored here.
Links to other sites
The Visit page embeds a Google map so you can see where the atelier is before you travel to it. It is the only content on this site loaded from another company. It loads lazily, so nothing is requested until you scroll to that part of the page, but once it does load Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies inside that frame, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. Everything else is a plain link you choose to follow: WhatsApp, Instagram, and directions. Nothing loads from those just by browsing here, and their policies apply only once you tap through.
Fonts and how pages load
The typefaces on this site, Cinzel, Cormorant Garamond and Jost, come from Google Fonts, but they are downloaded once when the site is built and served from by SEEMA’s own domain from then on. Loading a page here does not make a request to Google’s font servers, so nothing about your visit is sent to Google as a result of the type on the page.
Hosting and technical logs
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, as an ordinary part of running the infrastructure that serves this site. That logging happens at the hosting level: it is Vercel’s operational record, not something by SEEMA collects, sees, or uses itself.
Your rights
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives individuals (Data Principals) rights over their personal data, including the right to know how it is being processed, to have it corrected or erased, and to have a grievance addressed. Because this site collects so little in the first place, there is very little to ask about: your Selection stays on your device, and nothing you have not chosen to send exists anywhere for by SEEMA to access, correct or delete. The one exception is Google Analytics, and only if you accepted it: that consent is the legal basis for that processing, and you can withdraw it at any time, with immediate effect, from Cookie Preferences in the footer.
